TL;DR
This paper investigates the single spin asymmetry in low virtuality electroproduction of J/psi particles, proposing it as a probe for the elusive gluon Sivers function within the color evaporation model.
Contribution
It introduces the use of J/psi electroproduction SSA as a novel method to explore the gluon Sivers function, advancing understanding of gluon spin effects.
Findings
SSA can serve as a sensitive probe for the gluon Sivers function
Electroproduction of J/psi provides insights into gluon transverse momentum distributions
The study offers a new approach to investigate gluon spin phenomena
Abstract
We report on a recent investigation of the single spin asymmetry (SSA) in low virtuality electroproduction of in color evaporation model. We show that this can be used as a probe for the still unknown gluon Sivers function.
