Resonances and fluctuations in the statistical model
Giorgio Torrieri

TL;DR
This paper reviews how analyzing resonances and fluctuations in heavy ion collisions can determine the properties of the fireball at freezeout, providing insights into the thermal and chemical conditions of the system.
Contribution
It synthesizes recent research on resonance and fluctuation analysis to improve understanding of freezeout conditions in heavy ion collisions.
Findings
Resonance measurements constrain freezeout temperature.
Fluctuation analysis reveals chemical potential values.
Combined methods improve modeling of the fireball.
Abstract
We describe how the study of resonances and fluctuations can help constrain the thermal and chemical freezeout properties of the fireball created in heavy ion collisions. This review is based on [1-5].
