Vasilis Niarchos, Konstadinos Siampos

TL;DR
This paper calculates the entropy and central charge of the self-dual string soliton in supergravity using the blackfold approach to analyze the M2-M5 intersection.
Contribution
It introduces a novel application of the blackfold method to compute properties of the self-dual string soliton in supergravity.
Findings
Entropy of the self-dual string is computed.
Central charge of the soliton is determined.
Blackfold approach effectively describes the M2-M5 intersection.
Abstract
We compute the entropy and the corresponding central charge of the self-dual string soliton in the supergravity regime using the blackfold description of the fully localized M2-M5 intersection.
