Addendum to: Capillary floating and the billiard ball problem
Eugene Gutkin

TL;DR
This paper compares previous findings on capillary floating in neutral equilibrium with classical Archimedean results, adding historical and personal insights.
Contribution
It provides a comparative analysis between Finn-Young's and Archimedes' perspectives on floating equilibrium, including historical context.
Findings
Comparison of floating equilibrium theories
Historical remarks on floating phenomena
Insights into the differences between Finn-Young and Archimedes' approaches
Abstract
We compare the results of our earlier paper on the floating in neutral equilibrium at arbitrary orientation in the sense of Finn-Young with the literature on its counterpart in the sense of Archimedes. We add a few remarks of personal and social-historical character.
