Finding a system of essential 2-suborbifolds
Yoshihiro Takeuchi, Misako Yokoyama

TL;DR
This paper extends Culler-Morgan-Shalen theory to demonstrate the existence of a non-empty system of essential 2-suborbifolds aligned with a specific orbifold fundamental group splitting.
Contribution
It introduces a novel analogy of Culler-Morgan-Shalen theory to establish essential 2-suborbifolds in orbifolds.
Findings
Existence of essential 2-suborbifolds in orbifolds.
Alignment of these suborbifolds with fundamental group splittings.
Extension of classical theory to orbifold context.
Abstract
We make an analogy of Culler-Morgan-Shalen theory. Our main goal is to show that there exists a non-empty system of essential 2-suborbifolds respecting a given splitting of the orbifold fundamental group.
