Optical force acting on strongly driven atoms in free space or modified reservoirs
Mihai A. Macovei

TL;DR
This paper studies how the environment and intense driving alter the optical force on a two-level atom, revealing significant environmental effects and modifications due to strong driving.
Contribution
It provides a detailed analysis of the influence of modified reservoirs and intense driving on optical forces in quantum systems, a topic not extensively explored before.
Findings
Modified reservoirs significantly affect optical force magnitude.
Intense driving alters the maximal optical force achievable.
Environmental modifications can be used to control atomic forces.
Abstract
We investigate the quantum dynamics of a moderately driven two-level particle in free space or modified electromagnetic field reservoir. Particularly, we calculate the optical force acting on the radiator in such an environment. We found that the modified environmental reservoir influences significantly the optical force. Very intense driving in free space also modifies the maximal force.
