Nonzero $\theta_{13}$ and Neutrino Masses from the Modified Tribimaximal Neutrino Mixing Matrix
Asan Damanik

TL;DR
This paper modifies the tribimaximal neutrino mixing matrix with a simple perturbation to account for the observed nonzero mixing angle $ heta_{13}$, resulting in a neutrino mass spectrum consistent with experimental data.
Contribution
The authors introduce a simple perturbation to the tribimaximal mixing matrix to successfully reproduce the observed $ heta_{13}$ angle and derive a neutrino mass spectrum with normal hierarchy.
Findings
Modified TBM reproduces $ heta_{13}=7.9^{0}$ consistent with experiments.
Neutrino mass spectrum with normal hierarchy obtained.
Phenomenological implications discussed.
Abstract
In order to accommodate nonzero and relatively large of mixing angle , we modified the tribimaximal mixing(TBM) matrix by introducing a simple perturbation matrix to perturb TBM matrix. The modified TBM can reproduce nonzero mixing angle which is in agreement with the present experimental results. By imposing two zeros texture into the obtained neutrino mass matrix from modified TBM, we then have the neutrino mass spectrum in normal hierarchy. Some phenomenological implications are also discussed
