Partha Pratim Bhaduri, A. K. Chaudhuri, Subhasis Chattopadhyay

TL;DR
This paper analyzes $J/$ suppression in heavy-ion collisions, demonstrating a model that accurately describes existing SPS data and predicting significant suppression in future FAIR energy collisions, considering baryon-rich medium effects.
Contribution
The study introduces a model fixed by lower-energy collision data that successfully describes SPS results and predicts $J/$ suppression at higher energies, including baryon-rich medium effects.
Findings
Model fits SPS $J/$ suppression data well.
Predicts larger suppression in Au+Au collisions at FAIR energies.
Investigates effects of baryon-rich medium on $J/$ production.
Abstract
We have examined the available latest SPS data on suppression in Pb+Pb and In+In collisions at 158 A GeV. Our employed model, with parameters fixed by - and -nucleus collisions, gives excellent description of NA50 and NA60 data on centrality dependence of suppression. The model is then applied to predict the centrality dependence of production in Au+Au collisions at FAIR energy domain. A much larger suppression of is predicted. In addition the possible effects of a baryon rich medium on production is also investigated.
