Photon "mass" and atomic levels in a superstrong magnetic field
M. I. Vysotsky

TL;DR
This paper investigates how superstrong magnetic fields affect atomic energy levels, focusing on the lowest Landau level and the impact of Coulomb potential screening on critical nuclear charge.
Contribution
It provides a novel analysis of atomic level structure in superstrong magnetic fields considering Coulomb screening effects.
Findings
Atomic levels are significantly altered in superstrong magnetic fields.
Screening of Coulomb potential lowers the critical nuclear charge.
The lowest Landau level structure is characterized under extreme magnetic conditions.
Abstract
The structure of atomic levels originating from the lowest Landau level in a superstrong magnetic field is analyzed. The influence of the screening of the Coulomb potential on the values of critical nuclear charge is studied.
