On AdS/CFT without Massless Gravitons
Luis Apolo, Massimo Porrati

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates how to construct AdS/CFT duals with only massive gravitons by coupling multiple CFTs, allowing a massless graviton to decouple in the large-N limit, expanding the scope of holographic dualities.
Contribution
It introduces a method to realize AdS/CFT duals with exclusively massive gravitons using coupled CFTs and marginal perturbations, without massless gravitons in the bulk.
Findings
Coupling multiple CFTs yields massive gravitons in the bulk.
Decoupling of the massless graviton occurs in the infinite-N limit.
The approach broadens the class of holographic duals without massless gravitons.
Abstract
We point out that it is possible to define CFT duals to AdS theories with massive gravitons only. This is achieved by considering the product of two or more CFTs on the boundary, each possessing a large-N expansion and a corresponding bulk dual. It is possible to couple the CFTs through a marginal perturbation that makes all but one of the bulk gravitons massive. In the infinite-N limit for one of the CFTs the massless graviton decouples.
