Multifractality of eigenfunctions in spin chains
Yasar Yilmaz Atas, Eugene Bogomolny

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that the ground state wave functions of various 1D quantum spin-1/2 chain models exhibit multifractal properties, with complex fractal dimensions revealed through combined analytical and numerical methods.
Contribution
It provides the first comprehensive analysis showing multifractality in ground states of spin chains, integrating analytical and numerical approaches.
Findings
Ground states are multifractals with non-trivial fractal dimensions
Multifractality is observed across different spin chain models
Analytical and numerical methods confirm multifractal behavior
Abstract
We investigate different one-dimensional quantum spin-1/2 chain models and by combining analytical and numerical calculations prove that their ground state wave functions in the natural spin basis are multifractals with, in general, non-trivial fractal dimensions.
