M. K. Volkov, D. G. Kostunin

TL;DR
This paper calculates the decay widths of specific meson and tau decays within the NJL model, highlighting the role of quark mass differences and intermediate states, and compares results with existing studies.
Contribution
It provides new calculations of decay widths using the NJL model, including intermediate scalar and vector meson states, and emphasizes the impact of quark mass differences.
Findings
Decays are suppressed due to u and d quark mass differences.
Intermediate states significantly influence decay widths.
Results are consistent with other theoretical estimates.
Abstract
The widths of the decays and are calculated in the framework of the NJL model. It is shown that these decays are defined by the and quark mass difference. It leads to the suppression of these decays in comparison with the main decay modes. In the process the intermediate scalar state is taken into account. For the decays the intermediate states with , and mesons are used. Our estimates are compared with the results obtained in other works.
