Lei-Hua Liu, Li-Ye Xiao, Xian-Hui Zhong

TL;DR
This paper investigates the strong decay behaviors of charm-strange baryons using a chiral quark model, providing theoretical predictions that align well with experimental data and proposing possible quantum state assignments for newly observed baryons.
Contribution
The study extends a chiral quark model to analyze both well-known and newly observed charm-strange baryons, offering detailed quantum state classifications and decay predictions.
Findings
Predicted quantum states for several charm-strange baryons.
Good agreement between model predictions and experimental data.
Provided decay mode analyses for bottom baryons.
Abstract
The strong decays of charm-strange baryons up to N=2 shell are studied in a chiral quark model. The theoretical predictions for the well determined charm-strange baryons, , and , are in good agreement with the experimental data. This model is also extended to analyze the strong decays of the other newly observed charm-strange baryons , , , and . Our predictions are given as follows. (i) might be the first -wave excitation of with , favors the or state. (ii) might correspond to two overlapping -wave states and , respectively. The observed in the final state is most likely to be…
