An Application of the Dedekind-Hasse Criterion
Franz Lemmermeyer

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates how the Dedekind-Hasse criterion can be applied to prove results about quadratic number fields, offering an alternative to traditional ideal theory methods.
Contribution
It introduces a novel application of the Dedekind-Hasse criterion to quadratic number fields, simplifying certain proofs.
Findings
Simplified proof of results in quadratic number fields
Application of Dedekind-Hasse criterion to algebraic number theory
Alternative approach to ideal class theory
Abstract
In this article we show how the Dedekind-Hasse criterion may be applied to prove a simple result about quadratic number fields that usually is derived as a consequence of the theory of ideals and ideal classes.
