De-Sitter-spacetime instability from a nonstandard vector field
V. Emelyanov, F. R. Klinkhamer

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that de-Sitter spacetime becomes classically unstable when influenced by a specific nonstandard vector field, leading to an exotic singularity and violating key energy conditions.
Contribution
It introduces a novel vector field model that causes classical instability of de-Sitter spacetime, a result not previously established.
Findings
De-Sitter spacetime becomes unstable with certain vector fields.
Perturbed universe evolves towards an exotic singularity.
Vector field configurations violate strong and dominant energy conditions.
Abstract
It is found that de-Sitter spacetime, the constant-curvature matter-free solution of the Einstein equations with a positive cosmological constant, becomes classically unstable due to the dynamic effects of a certain type of vector field (fundamentally different from a gauge field). The perturbed de-Sitter universe evolves towards a final exotic singularity. The relevant vector-field configurations violate the strong and dominant energy conditions.
