The Time Dependent CP Violation in Charm
Gianluca Inguglia

TL;DR
This paper evaluates the potential of time-dependent CP violation measurements in charm decays to determine key parameters like the angle β_c, mixing phase φ_MIX, and mixing parameter x across various experiments, highlighting LHCb's current capabilities and future prospects.
Contribution
It introduces a method for measuring CP violation parameters in charm decays and assesses the expected experimental sensitivities at LHCb, SuperB, and Belle II.
Findings
LHCb can already perform initial measurements of β_c,eff.
SuperB can measure β_c,eff and φ_MIX with high precision.
Future experiments will significantly improve the constraints on charm CP violation parameters.
Abstract
A model which describes the time-dependent CP formalism in decays has recently been proposed. There it has been highlighted a possible measurement of the angle , in the charm unitarity triangle, using the decays and , and a measurement of the mixing phase . The same method can be used to measure the value of the parameter , one of the two parameters defining charm mixing. We numerically evaluate the impact of a time-dependent analysis in terms of the possible outcomes from present and future experiments. We consider the scenarios of correlated mesons production at the center of mass energy of the at Super, uncorrelated production at the center of mass energy of the at Super and Belle II, and LHCb. Recently a hint of direct CP violation in charm decays was reported by the LHCb…
