TL;DR
This paper measures the branching fractions of specific B_s meson decays using LHCb data, providing precise results that are crucial for studying CP violation and the CKM angle gamma.
Contribution
It presents the first absolute measurements of B_s decay branching fractions and the ratio of B_s to B_d production fractions using proton-proton collision data.
Findings
Measured B_s decay branching fractions with uncertainties.
Determined the ratio of B_s to B_d production fractions.
Provided data essential for CP violation studies.
Abstract
The decay mode allows for one of the theoretically cleanest measurements of the CKM angle through the study of time-dependent violation. This paper reports a measurement of its branching fraction relative to the Cabibbo-favoured mode based on a data sample of 0.37 fb proton-proton collisions at TeV collected in 2011 with the LHCb detector. In addition, the ratio of meson production fractions , determined from semileptonic decays, together with the known branching fraction of the control channel , is used to perform an absolute measurement of the branching fractions: , $B (\B^0_s \to…
