Free light fields can change the predictions of hybrid inflation
Tomohiro Matsuda

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that free light scalar fields present during inflation can alter hybrid inflation predictions, potentially providing observable signatures to distinguish different sources of the primordial spectrum.
Contribution
It introduces the idea that free light fields can modify hybrid inflation predictions and discusses potential observational signatures.
Findings
Free light fields can influence inflationary predictions.
Possible signatures can help identify the source of the spectrum.
Hybrid inflation predictions are sensitive to additional scalar fields.
Abstract
We show that the free light scalar fields that may exist in the inflationary Universe can change the predictions of the hybrid inflation model. Possible signatures are discussed, which can be used to discriminate the sources of the spectrum.
