Schwinger pair creation in multilayer graphene
M. A. Zubkov

TL;DR
This paper investigates the rate of electron-hole pair creation in multilayer graphene under an external electric field using a semi-classical approach, providing insights into quantum vacuum phenomena in such materials.
Contribution
It introduces a semi-classical method to calculate Schwinger pair creation rates specifically for ABC-stacked multilayer graphene, extending understanding of quantum effects in layered materials.
Findings
Calculated pair creation rate in multilayer graphene
Derived vacuum persistence probability under external fields
Extended quantum field theory methods to layered graphene systems
Abstract
The low energy effective field model for the multilayer graphene (at ABC stacking) in external Electric field is considered. The Schwinger pair creation rate and the vacuum persistence probability are calculated using the semi - classical approach.
