Current stage of understanding and description of hadronic elastic diffraction
A. A. Godizov

TL;DR
This paper reviews the current understanding of high-energy elastic diffractive scattering, comparing theoretical models with recent experimental data from D0 and TOTEM to evaluate their accuracy.
Contribution
It provides a comprehensive review of the phenomenology of elastic diffraction and assesses the validity of various models against recent experimental results.
Findings
Certain models align well with D0 and TOTEM data
Discrepancies identified between some models and experimental results
Highlights the need for refined theoretical approaches
Abstract
Current stage of development of the high-energy elastic diffractive scattering phenomenology is reviewed. Verification of various theoretical models via comparison of their predictions with the recent D0 and TOTEM data on the nucleon-nucleon total and differential cross-sections is presented.
