Analysis of $B \to a_1(1260)(b_1(1235))K^*$ decays in the perturbative QCD approach
Zhi-Qing Zhang

TL;DR
This paper analyzes $B$ meson decays to axial-vector and vector mesons using perturbative QCD, predicting branching ratios, polarization phenomena, and CP asymmetries consistent with other methods and highlighting the role of annihilation diagrams.
Contribution
It provides the first detailed perturbative QCD predictions for $B o a_1(1260)K^*$ and $b_1(1235)K^*$ decays, including polarization and CP asymmetry analyses.
Findings
Branching ratios align with QCDF results, larger than naive factorization.
Anomalous polarization occurs in $B o a_1K^*$ decays, not in $B o b_1K^*$.
Predicted CP asymmetries could be measured by LHCb.
Abstract
Within the framework of perturbative QCD approach, we study the charmless two-body decays . Using the decays constants and the light-cone distribution amplitudes for these mesons derived from the QCD sum rule method, we find the following results: (a) Our predictions for the branching ratios are consistent well with the QCDF results within errors, but much larger than the naive factorization approach calculation values. (b) We predict that the anomalous polarizations occurring in the decays also happen in the decays , while do not happen in the decays . Here the contributions from the annihilation diagrams play an important role to explain the lager transverse polarizations in the decays , while they are not sensitive to the polarizations in decays . (c) Our predictions for the…
