TL;DR
This paper reviews the foundational elements of discretized gravity and discusses how Group Field Theory (GFT) models are formulated, highlighting the emergence of noncommutative structures within these models.
Contribution
It provides an overview of GFT formulation for discretized gravity models and explores the emergence of noncommutative geometrical structures.
Findings
GFT offers a framework for discretized gravity models.
Noncommutative structures naturally arise in GFT models.
The paper summarizes key aspects of GFT formulation.
Abstract
I review the basic ingredients of discretized gravity which motivate the introduction of Group Field Theory. Thus I describe the GFT formulation of some models and conclude with a few remarks on the emergence of noncommutative structures in such models.
