TL;DR
This paper models positronium as a finite-sized entity within a medium, analyzing how its Coulombic attraction varies with bubble size, which enhances understanding of positron annihilation spectroscopy.
Contribution
It introduces a finite size model of positronium in a medium, moving beyond the point particle approximation to better interpret experimental data.
Findings
Coulombic attraction varies with bubble radius
Finite size effects are significant in positronium modeling
Improved interpretation of positron annihilation data
Abstract
In application to positron annihilation spectroscopy, Ps atom is considered not as a point particle, but as a finite size e+ e- pair localized in a bubble-state in a medium. Variation of the internal Coulombic e+ -e- attraction vs. the bubble radius is estimated.
