Meson-induced pentaquark productions
Tetsuo Hyodo, Atsushi Hosaka, Makoto Oka

TL;DR
This paper calculates meson-induced production cross sections of the Theta+ pentaquark, compares them with experimental data to exclude certain quantum numbers, and constrains the Theta+ width.
Contribution
It provides theoretical cross section calculations for different quantum states and uses experimental data to narrow down the possible quantum numbers of Theta+.
Findings
Certain quantum numbers are excluded based on cross section comparisons.
Upper limits on Theta+ width are derived from combined experimental results.
The study refines the understanding of Theta+ properties in meson-induced reactions.
Abstract
Production cross sections of the pentaquark Theta+ baryon in the meson-induced reactions are calculated for JP=1/2+- and 3/2+- cases. Through the comparison with the previous measurements at KEK, several quantum numbers are excluded. The remaining possibilities can be used to cast the upper limit on the Theta+ width, combining with the result from the J-PARC E19 experiment.
