G\'abor Csire, Barnab\'as Apagyi

TL;DR
This paper explores the creation of macroscopic quantum superposition states in two-component Bose-Einstein condensates within a double-well potential, analyzing the effects of dissipation using Monte-Carlo simulations.
Contribution
It introduces a new model for generating macroscopic superposition states in two-component BECs and studies how dissipation impacts their formation.
Findings
Proposed a model for creating macroscopic superpositions in BECs.
Analyzed the influence of dissipation on superposition state formation.
Used Monte-Carlo wavefunction technique to simulate dissipation effects.
Abstract
We examine a two-component Bose-Einstein condensate in a double-well potential. We propose a model for the creation of many-particle macroscopic quantum superposition states. The effect of dissipation on the formation of these states is also investigated with the Monte-Carlo wavefunction technique.
