TL;DR
This paper explores how Berry phases influence fermions and bosons in gravitational and electromagnetic fields, leading to Zitterbewegung oscillations that are valid across all reference frames and approximation orders.
Contribution
It introduces a comprehensive analysis of gravitational Berry phases and their role in generating Zitterbewegung oscillations in relativistic particles.
Findings
Berry phases induce Zitterbewegung oscillations in fermions and bosons.
Results are valid in any reference frame and for any order of metric deviation.
The study generalizes previous understanding of quantum oscillations in gravitational fields.
Abstract
Berry phases mix states of positive and negative energy in the propagation of fermions and bosons in external gravitational and electromagnetic fields and generate Zitterbewegung oscillations. The results are valid in any reference frame and to any order of approximation in the metric deviation.
