On the General Kerr/CFT Correspondence in Arbitrary Dimensions
Jianwei Mei

TL;DR
This paper explores the conformal symmetries present on the horizons of general stationary, axisymmetric black holes in arbitrary dimensions, establishing a connection with the Kerr/CFT correspondence and reproducing black hole entropy.
Contribution
It demonstrates that boundary conditions can uniquely determine Virasoro symmetry generators on black hole horizons in arbitrary dimensions, extending the Kerr/CFT correspondence.
Findings
Virasoro algebra generated by horizon symmetries
Exact match of Cardy's formula with Bekenstein-Hawking entropy for extremal black holes
Boundary conditions uniquely determine the symmetry generators
Abstract
We study conformal symmetries on the horizon of a general stationary and axisymmetric black hole. We find that there exist physically reasonable boundary conditions that uniquely determine a set of symmetry generators, which form one copy of the Virasoro algebra. For extremal black holes, Cardy's formula reproduces exactly the Bekenstein-Hawking entropy.
