Oliver Stockert, Stefan Kirchner, Frank Steglich, and Qimiao Si

TL;DR
This review explores heavy-fermion superconductivity in Ce- and U-based 122 compounds with ThCr2Si2 structure, emphasizing their proximity to magnetic instability and the underlying theoretical frameworks.
Contribution
It provides a comprehensive overview of the theoretical understanding of heavy-fermion superconductivity in these compounds, highlighting recent developments.
Findings
Superconductivity occurs near magnetic instability points.
Theoretical models explain the unconventional pairing mechanisms.
Heavy-fermion behavior is closely linked to magnetic fluctuations.
Abstract
This review discusses the heavy-fermion superconductivity in Ce- and U-based compounds crystallizing in the body-centered tetragonal ThCr2Si2 structure. Special attention will be paid to the theoretical background of these systems which are located close to a magnetic instability.
