TL;DR
This paper presents advanced calculations of heavy flavor contributions to the deep inelastic scattering structure function F2 at three-loop order, highlighting new mathematical functions encountered in the process.
Contribution
It introduces novel harmonic sums and polylogarithms arising in the calculation of massive Wilson coefficients at O(α_s^3).
Findings
Calculation of massive Wilson coefficients at three-loop order.
Identification of new harmonic sums and polylogarithms.
Results applicable for Q^2/m^2 ≥ 10.
Abstract
We report on recent results obtained for the massive Wilson coefficients which contribute to the structure function at in the region . In the calculation new species of harmonic sums and harmonic polylogarithms generated by cyclotomic polynomials arise in intermediary results which are briefly discussed.
