Valeria Banica, Evelyne Miot

TL;DR
This paper surveys recent and past research on the dynamics of vortex filaments in three-dimensional fluids, including new findings on filament collapse phenomena.
Contribution
It provides a comprehensive overview of vortex filament models and introduces new collapse scenarios not previously documented.
Findings
Recent advances in vortex filament modeling
New collapse scenarios for filament interactions
Summary of both historical and recent results
Abstract
Several progresses have been done very recently on models for the dynamics of one or more vortex filaments in three-dimensional fluids. In this article we survey the recent and previous results in this topic. We also present some new situations of filaments collapse.
