About the mechanism of matter transfer along cosmic string
S. V. Talalov

TL;DR
This paper investigates how a moving cosmic string can quantum mechanically capture particles, showing that cusps on the string can cause wave function collapse at specific points regardless of initial capture location.
Contribution
It introduces a quantum model for matter transfer along cosmic strings, highlighting the role of cusps in wave function collapse independent of capture point.
Findings
Cusps on cosmic strings induce wave function collapse.
Quantum capture is influenced by string dynamics and cusps.
Wave function collapse occurs irrespective of initial capture location.
Abstract
We consider the quantum capture of nonrelativistic massive particle by the moving infinite curve (cosmic string in wire approximation). It is shown that the cusp appearing on a string at a certain point due to the string dynamics can make the wave function collapse at this point irrespective of the caption place.
