TL;DR
This study measures the production ratio of the $oldsymbol{\Sigma(1385)^{0}/\Lambda(1405)}$ resonances in proton-proton collisions at 3.5 GeV, providing essential data for understanding their decay processes.
Contribution
It provides the first measurement of the $oldsymbol{\Sigma(1385)^{0}/\Lambda(1405)}$ production ratio in p+p collisions at this energy, aiding in resonance separation analyses.
Findings
The ratio $oldsymbol{\sigma_{(\Sigma(1385)^{0}+p+K^{+})}/oldsymbol{\sigma_{(\Lambda(1405)+p+K^{+})}}$ is approximately 0.76 with uncertainties.
The ratio's limits help distinguish between the two resonances in decay studies.
This measurement improves understanding of hyperon resonance production in proton collisions.
Abstract
The aim of the present analysis is to determine the relative production cross sections of the (1405) and resonances in p+p collisions at E=3.5 GeV measured with HADES. Upper and lower limits have been determined for the ratio . The knowledge of this ratio is an essential input for the analysis of the decay , where an unambiguous separation of the (1405) and signals is not possible.
