Generalized transversality conditions for the Hahn quantum variational calculus
Agnieszka B. Malinowska, Natalia Martins

TL;DR
This paper establishes new optimality conditions for a class of quantum variational problems involving the Hahn calculus, extending classical calculus of variations to quantum settings with free end-points.
Contribution
It introduces generalized transversality conditions for Hahn quantum variational calculus, addressing problems unsolvable by classical methods.
Findings
Derived new optimality conditions for Hahn quantum variational problems
Extended calculus of variations to quantum calculus with free end-points
Provided a framework for solving quantum variational problems with non-classical Lagrangians
Abstract
We prove optimality conditions for generalized quantum variational problems with a Lagrangian depending on the free end-points. Problems of calculus of variations of this type cannot be solved using the classical theory.
