Thick Brane Split Caused by Spacetime Torsion
Jie Yang, Yun-Liang Li, Yuan Zhong, Yang Li

TL;DR
This paper explores five-dimensional $f(T)$ gravity with torsion effects, revealing that strong torsion can cause brane splitting into double-kink solutions and analyzing fermion localization on these split branes.
Contribution
It introduces a novel application of $f(T)$ gravity to brane models, showing how torsion influences brane structure and fermion localization, which was not previously studied.
Findings
Strong torsion leads to double-kink brane solutions.
Fermion fields can be localized on split branes.
Analytic solutions are derived for specific warp factors.
Abstract
In this paper we apply the five-dimensional gravity with to brane scenario to explore the solutions under a given warp factor, and we find that the analytic domain wall solution will be a double-kink solution when the geometric effect of spacetime torsion is strongly enhanced. We also investigate the localization of fermion fields on the split branes corresponding to the double-kink solution.
