Stefan Hoeche, Frank Krauss, Marek Schonherr, Frank Siegert

TL;DR
This paper presents the first detailed predictions for W-boson production with up to three jets at the LHC, combining next-to-leading order QCD calculations with parton shower simulations and comparing them to experimental data.
Contribution
It introduces a novel computation of differential cross sections for W+jets at NLO matched with parton showers, enhancing accuracy in theoretical predictions.
Findings
Good agreement with LHC data for W+jets production
Improved theoretical precision over previous models
First NLO+PS predictions for up to three jets
Abstract
For the first time, differential cross sections for the production of W-bosons in conjunction with up to three jets, computed at next-to leading order in QCD and including parton shower corrections, are presented and compared to recent experimental data from the Large Hadron Collider.
