Altering distance functions and fixed point theorems through rational expression
Jos\'e R. Morales, E. M. Rojas

TL;DR
This paper generalizes fixed point theorems by employing altering distance functions, extending previous results and analyzing contraction mappings with property P.
Contribution
It introduces a broader class of fixed point theorems using rational expression-based altering distance functions, expanding existing theoretical frameworks.
Findings
Generalized fixed point theorems using rational altering distance functions
Extended results of Das and Gupta, Samet and Yazid
Studied property P for contraction mappings
Abstract
In this paper, using altering distance functions we obtain a generalization of the results due to B.K. Das and S. Gupta as well as the results given by B. Samet and H. Yazid. Moreover, we study the so-called property P for the contraction mappings considered in this article.
