Huichao Song (Ohio State U)

TL;DR
This paper introduces the VISHNU hybrid model combining viscous hydrodynamics and hadron cascade to analyze relativistic heavy ion collisions, aiming to extract QGP viscosity from elliptic flow data at RHIC and LHC energies.
Contribution
It presents the VISHNU hybrid model and discusses its application in estimating QGP viscosity from experimental data.
Findings
VISHNU successfully models elliptic flow in heavy ion collisions.
Initial results provide constraints on QGP viscosity.
The model integrates hydrodynamics with hadron cascade for realistic simulations.
Abstract
In this proceeding, we briefly describe the viscous hydrodynamics + hadron cascade hybrid model VISHNU for relativistic heavy ion collisions and report the current status on extracting the QGP viscosity from elliptic flow data.
