High-pt triggered dihadron correlations with vn background subtraction by STAR
Fuqiang Wang (for the STAR Collaboration)

TL;DR
This paper presents STAR's measurements of high-pt dihadron correlations in Au+Au collisions at 200 GeV, with background subtraction of flow harmonics v2, v3, and v4, to study jet-medium interactions.
Contribution
It introduces a method to subtract flow backgrounds from dihadron correlations using measured v2, v3, and v4, providing clearer insights into jet-related signals.
Findings
Flow background subtraction clarifies jet signals
Correlation patterns relative to harmonic planes analyzed
Implications for understanding quark-gluon plasma discussed
Abstract
STAR measurements of dihadron correlations with high-pt trigger partcles in Au+Au collisions at 200 GeV are presented with subtraction of v2, v3, and v4 backgrounds. The vn azimuthal anisotropies were measured by the two-particle cumulant method with \eta\ gap to reduce nonflow. The dihadron correlations relative to the v2 as well as the v3 harmonic planes are also presented. Implications of the results are discussed.
