CMS search for Standard Model Higgs: H$\to$W$^+$W$^-$ and H$\to$ZZ
Giuseppe Codispoti (on behalf of the CMS Collaboration)

TL;DR
This paper reports a CMS search for the Standard Model Higgs boson decaying into W+W- and ZZ channels within a broad mass range, setting upper limits on production cross sections based on 7 TeV collision data.
Contribution
First CMS analysis covering Higgs decays to W+W- and ZZ at 7 TeV over a wide mass range with new upper limit constraints.
Findings
No significant Higgs signal observed.
Upper limits set on Higgs production cross sections.
Analysis covers 110 to 600 GeV/c^2 mass range.
Abstract
A search for the Standard Model Higgs decaying to WW and ZZ in pp collisions from LHC at = 7 TeV using up to 1.7 fb of data recorded by the CMS detector is presented. This search covers a mass range from 110 GeV/c to 600 GeV/c. No significant excess above Standard Model background expectations is observed. Upper limits on the production cross section are derived.
