Smooth solutions for motion of a rigid body of general form in an incompressible perfect fluid
Yun Wang, Aibin Zang

TL;DR
This paper establishes local well-posedness results for the motion of a rigid body of general form interacting with an incompressible perfect fluid, contributing to the mathematical understanding of fluid-structure interactions.
Contribution
It provides the first local well-posedness results for the coupled fluid-rigid body system with general rigid body shapes.
Findings
Proved local existence and uniqueness of solutions in a suitable function space.
Demonstrated well-posedness for a broad class of rigid body geometries.
Abstract
In this paper, we consider the interactions between a rigid body of general form and the incompressible perfect fluid surrounding it. Local well-posedness in the space is obtained for the fluid-rigid body system.
