Autenticazione biometrica: Realt\`a e fantasia
Alfredo Esposito

TL;DR
Biometric authentication systems are popular for security but pose hidden risks, requiring service providers to carefully evaluate liabilities before implementation.
Contribution
The paper critically examines biometric authentication, highlighting potential risks and emphasizing the need for careful liability assessment by service providers.
Findings
Biometric systems have hidden security risks.
Service providers must evaluate liabilities carefully.
Biometric authentication is not inherently secure.
Abstract
Biometrical authentication systems are often presented as the best and simplest way to reach higher security levels. But a deeper analysis shows that several risks are hidden and the service provider adopting those system has to carefully check its liabilities before deploying them.
