Simon Platzer, Malin Sjodahl

TL;DR
This paper introduces an algorithm that enhances parton shower simulations by incorporating full SU(3) color correlations, improving accuracy for certain observables in high-energy physics.
Contribution
It presents the first implementation of a dipole-type shower algorithm with subleading Nc corrections based on full SU(3) color correlations.
Findings
Corrections are small for event shapes and jet rates.
Corrections can be more significant for tailored observables.
First proof of concept implementation.
Abstract
We describe an algorithm for improving subsequent parton shower emissions by full SU(3) color correlations in the framework of a dipole-type shower. As a proof of concept, we present results from the first implementation of such an algorithm for a final state shower. The corrections are found to be small for event shapes and jet rates but can be more significant for tailored observables.
