TL;DR
This paper investigates photoconduction in quasi-one-dimensional charge density wave conductors to differentiate conduction mechanisms, explore screening effects, and reveal details of their electronic structure through experimental results on specific materials.
Contribution
It provides new experimental insights into the electronic energy structure and conduction mechanisms in pure and doped CDW conductors using photoconduction techniques.
Findings
Distinguished between single-particle and collective conduction.
Analyzed the effect of screening on collective transport.
Revealed detailed electronic energy structures of studied conductors.
Abstract
Photoconduction study of quasi-1D conductors allows to distinguish between the single-particle and collective {\it linear} conduction, investigate the effect of screening on collective transport and obtain interesting new details of the electronic energy structure of pure and doped CDW conductors. Here we present results of photoconduction study in quasi-1D conductors o-TaS, KMoO, and NbS(I).
