Umbral methods and operator ordering
D. Babusci, G. Dattoli

TL;DR
This paper introduces new operator ordering rules using umbral methods and formal power series, highlighting their potential applications in quantum field theory.
Contribution
It presents novel operator ordering rules derived from umbral techniques and exponential operators, expanding the mathematical toolkit for quantum field theory.
Findings
New operator ordering rules established
Application of formal power series to exponential operators
Potential usefulness in quantum field theory
Abstract
By using methods of umbral nature, we discuss new rules concerning the operator ordering. We apply the technique of formal power series to take advantage from the wealth of properties of the exponential operators. The usefulness of the obtained results in quantum field theory is discussed.
