Spin-Parity Analysis of ppbar Mass Threshold Structure in J/psi and psi' Radiative Decays
BESIII Collaboration

TL;DR
This study performs a partial wave analysis of the p pbar mass threshold enhancement in J/psi and psi' radiative decays, determining quantum numbers, mass, width, and production rates of the structure.
Contribution
It provides the first detailed quantum number assignment and measurements of the p pbar threshold enhancement in both J/psi and psi' decays.
Findings
Quantum numbers: J^{PC} = 0^{-+}
Mass below threshold at 1832 MeV/c^2
Production rate ratio R ≈ 5%
Abstract
A partial wave analysis of the mass-threshold enhancement in the reaction is used to determine: its quantum numbers to be ; its peak mass to be below threshold at ; and its total width to be at the 90% C.L. The product branching ratio is measured to be . A similar analysis performed on decays shows, for the first time, the presence of a corresponding enhancement with a production rate relative to that for decays of $R=(5.08^{+0.71}_{-0.45} {\rm (stat.)}^{+0.67}_{-3.58} {\rm (syst.)}\pm0.12 {\rm…
