CP violation in $B^0_s$ mixing with LHCb
Georg Krocker

TL;DR
This paper measures the CP-violating phase in $B^0_s$ decays using LHCb data, finding results consistent with the Standard Model and providing the first such measurement from the decay $B_s o J/ \,f_0(980)$.
Contribution
It presents the first LHCb measurement of $_s$ from $B_s o J/ \,f_0(980)$ decays and combines multiple decay channels to improve precision.
Findings
Measured $_s$ consistent with Standard Model predictions.
First extraction of $_s$ from $B_s o J/ \,f_0(980)$ decays.
Precise determination of $ riangle m_s=17.725\, ext{ps}^{-1}$.
Abstract
The determination of the CP-violating phase in decays is one of the key goals of the LHCb experiment. Its value is predicted to be very small in the Standard Model but can be significantly enhanced in many models of new physics. An angular analysis of the decay using about 340\invpicobarn of data is presented resulting in a Standard Model compatible value of . An additional extraction of from the decay is performed for the first time in LHCb. A combination results in . To resolve the fast mixing frequency is an essential prerequisite of this analysis. This is demonstrated by a precision measurement of $\Delta…
