High p_T suppression of Lambda and K0s in Pb-Pb collisions at sqrt(s_NN)= 2.76 TeV with ALICE
Simone Schuchmann

TL;DR
This paper reports on the measurement of nuclear modification factors for Lambda and K0s particles in Pb-Pb collisions at 2.76 TeV, revealing strong suppression at high transverse momentum and particle-specific enhancements at lower p_T.
Contribution
It provides new measurements of R_AA and R_CP for Lambda and K0s at LHC energies, highlighting particle-dependent suppression and enhancement patterns.
Findings
Strong high p_T suppression of Lambda and K0s in central collisions
Lambda shows enhancement over K0s at lower p_T
Results differ from lower energy collision data
Abstract
The nuclear modification factors R_AA and R_CP of Lambda and K0s in Pb-Pb collisions at sqrt(s_NN)= 2.76 TeV measured by ALICE at LHC are presented. In central collisions a strong suppression at high p_T (p_T > 8 GeV/c) with respect to pp collisions is observed. The p_T region below is dominated by an enhancement of Lambda over the suppressed K0s. The results are compared to those for charged hadrons and to Lambda from lower collision energies.
