A note on the Cardy formula and black holes in 3d (massive) bigravity
M\'aximo Ba\~nados, Miguel Pino

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that the Bekenstein-Hawking entropy of 3D massive bigravity black holes matches Cardy's formula, providing a non-trivial test of the formula's robustness beyond pure AdS scenarios.
Contribution
It shows the validity of Cardy's formula for black hole entropy in 3D massive bigravity, despite the presence of local bulk excitations and non-AdS black holes.
Findings
Exact agreement between Bekenstein-Hawking entropy and Cardy's formula.
Validation of Cardy's formula in a non-AdS, massive gravity context.
Abstract
We report full agreement between the Bekenstein-Hawking semiclassical entropy and Cardy's formula for black holes in 3d (massive) bigravity. Since this theory does have local bulk local excitations (a massive graviton) and black holes are not locally AdS this example provides a non-trivial test of the robustness of the Cardy formula.
