Numerical approximation of a linear elasticity model
Samir Kumar Bhowmik

TL;DR
This paper develops a spectral Galerkin method to approximate a nonlocal linear elastic wave model, analyzing the error and demonstrating the scheme through numerical experiments.
Contribution
It introduces a spectral Galerkin approach for nonlocal elasticity models and provides error analysis and numerical validation.
Findings
Spectral Galerkin method effectively approximates the nonlocal model.
Error bounds are established for the approximation.
Numerical experiments confirm the theoretical results.
Abstract
We consider a nonlocal linear elastic wave model. We approximate the model using a spectral Galerkin method in space and analyze error in such an approximation. We perform some numerical experiments to demonstrate the scheme.
