TL;DR
This paper calculates Bc meson decay amplitudes into J/psi or Bs(*) plus multiple pions using a factorization model, and implements a decay module in the LHCb GAUSS simulation package.
Contribution
It introduces a new decay amplitude calculation for Bc decays into J/psi or Bs(*) plus pions and implements this as a module in the LHCb GAUSS software.
Findings
Decay amplitudes computed within the factorization framework.
Implementation of a decay module for Bc -> J/psi/Bs(*) + n pi in GAUSS.
Supports simulation of these decays for n ≤ 3.
Abstract
The Bc -> J/psi(Bs,Bs*)+ n pi decay amplitudes are calculated in the frame work of factorization model, which allows to represent this processes as Bc decay into J/psi Bs+W* followed by the virtual W*-boson decay into the final set of pi mesons. The module for the generation of Bc meson decays into J/psi + n pi and Bs(*) + n pi (n <= 3) is implemented into the GAUSS program package of the LHCb Collaboration.
